“Over 60 years ago, Bernard Gant
revolutionized the Oxford shirt and today we still admire the significant
impact those inventions had on American sportswear. We take great care in
preserving that legacy and seeing our shirts worn again by students and
professors at Yale and now would-be Yalies the world over gives us great
pride,” says Bob Andrews, Creative Director at GANT.
Launched in the U.S.
last spring, the GANT Yale Co-op shirts are re-issues of the archival designs
that were sold at the famed Yale bookstore starting in the 1960s and quickly
became synonymous with Ivy League style.
The collection maintains original classic details including the locker loop,
back collar button and fabrics including Oxford Cloth and India madras in a
variety of colors. The Yale Co-op shirts, which retail for $115, consist of 10
core shirts as well as seasonal styles that are updated twice a year.
GANT is located 268 York Street, New Haven, CT
